Road Company EAD
Road Company EAD offers its clients a wide range of services across all areas of construction and specialises in carrying out laboratory testing for new construction and the repair of infrastructure projects. The company operates an accredited Road Construction Laboratory in accordance with BDS EN ISO/IEC 17025:2018. The laboratory was first accredited in 2003.
The commitment to the continuous improvement of its material and technical facilities and the skills of its staff has established the laboratory as a leader in the testing and research of construction materials and structures in the country. The laboratory offers comprehensive testing of construction materials and the design of mix proportions for concrete and asphalt mixtures, soil stabilisation and on-site cold recycling of road pavements.

Laboratory tests
The laboratory is one of the few in the country that carries out all the necessary tests on building materials in accordance with the harmonised product standards:
- crushed stone for railway lines, in accordance with BDS EN 13450;
- polymer-modified bitumen, in accordance with BDS EN 14023;
- thinned and plasticised bitumens, in accordance with BDS EN 15322;
- bitumen emulsion, in accordance with BDS EN 13808;
- aggregates for asphalt and concrete mixtures, in accordance with BDS EN 13043 and BDS EN 12620;
- mixtures for use in building works and road construction, in accordance with BDS EN 13242.

International partnership
The Road Construction Laboratory at “Road Company” EAD is a subcontractor to the accredited RT provider PTS Bulgaria, part of “Professional Testing Solutions Bulgaria” Ltd (“PTS Bulgaria” Ltd), which operates internationally. The selection of the laboratory as a subcontractor by the RT provider PTS Bulgaria is a sign of trust and high recognition of the quality of the activities carried out in relation to the collection, preparation and testing of samples for the purpose of demonstrating their representativeness for a given proficiency testing scheme. Our teamwork, expert knowledge and professionalism are key to ensuring suitable samples for every proficiency testing exercise through interlaboratory comparison.

Scope
Recognized accreditation certificate
The Laboratory has been accredited by the Executive Agency “Bulgarian Accreditation Service” in accordance with BDS EN ISO/IEC 17025:2018 valid until 31 October 2027.
History and development of the laboratory
The Road Construction Laboratory of Road Company EAD is a successor to the Road Test Laboratory of Patstroy-92 AD. The first accreditation of the Laboratory was obtained in 2003. In 2016, a new mobile office of the Laboratory was accredited, which can be positioned in various locations throughout the country and abroad. The Laboratory expands its scope of accredited tests in conformity with every change in the normative requirements for laboratory-related activities in Bulgaria.
Flexible scope
Пътна строителна лаборатория при „Пътна компания“ ЕАД поддържа и управлява гъвкав обхват със степен на гъвкавост „Въвеждане на нова (актуализирана) версия на стандартите или документи, които ги заменят“, съгласно т. 4.1.1 на процедура BAS QR 32 „Процедура за акредитация на гъвкав обхват“ на Изпълнителна агенция „Българска служба за акредитация. Гъвкавостта обхваща целия обхват на акредитираните дейности. Лабораторията изготвя и поддържа актуален „Списък с датирани версии на стандартите от акредитирания гъвкав обхват“. Той се намира на видно място (обикновено в приемната) в офисите на лабораторията, а при поискване от страна на клиента копие от актуалния списък може да бъде изпратено по имейл във всеки един момент.
